Trends in Health Benefit Cost Management

Please join MCHRA in June to learn about the most important trends in health benefit cost management, including the latest developments in consumerism and employee health management. The discussion will include how employers plan to respond to health reform provisions becoming effective in 2014 and also share findings for DFW employers which can be used for benchmarking company plans and programs.

About the Speaker
Daina Evans is a Senior Associate in Mercer’s health and group benefits practice in Dallas. Daina has twelve years of industry experience – eight years of consulting and four years with a national health plan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. While with BCBS of Alabama, Daina worked on their most cutting edge strategies including direct consumer engagement through plan design and transparency data, health and productivity initiatives, and value based benefit design with supporting data analysis. Her role as strategic consultant was to identify opportunities to implement these strategies and other business processes to reduce costs and provide better service to clients. Daina’s work with Mercer clients has included both strategic design and ongoing plan management. She is an experienced project manager skilled at coordinating Mercer’s specialty resources and integrating specialty and core resources on behalf of clients. While at Mercer and BCBSAL, Daina has had the opportunity to work with some of the largest employers in the US including Wal-Mart, AT&T, American Airlines, JCPenney and GE. A graduate of Troy State University, Daina also holds her Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation.
**Registration Update**
Starting in March, all online reservation are due by noon on the Tuesday prior to the meeting. Online registration will be closed at that time. Attendees not registered online will be considered walk-in registrations and will be charged the guest rate of $35.
Cancellations -Members and guests who do not cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event day, will be charged for the cost of the event.
