“Diversity Outreach – Where Do We Start?”
A conversation with Mary Leone
Did you know that :
- 200,000 veterans will leave the military this year
- Between 20-25% of the population has a disability and over 70% of those are invisible disabilities
- More veterans are college-educated now than ever before, with rates surpassing those of civilians.
Come join us in April for our MCHRA Meeting where we are joined in a conversation lead by Mary Leone a partner at Diversity Outreach Partners
To learn more about creating a specialized and collaborative resource for employers who are working to hire and engage a more diverse workforce.
Speaker Bio for Mary Leone:
Mary Leone is a Talent Acquisition leader with over 25 years of HR experience, mostly at large companies. She has a passion for diversity – especially Veterans, military spouses and people with disabilities, although, she likes all types of diversity. She was part of the leadership team that formed the Disability:IN North Texas affiliate and currently serves as the Vice Chair. For the past two years, she has also been volunteering monthly as a networking room facilitator/mentor with Vets2Industry, a national organization that focuses on helping military in transition and military spouses network/find employment. In addition, she has been a guest on several podcasts, blog sites, and LinkedIn LIVE events, mostly talking about diversity recruiting, with an emphasis on veterans, people with disabilities and outreach efforts.
Her current role is working for Lennox International as the Manager of Talent Acquisition, supporting the Residential business. This includes helping to build and grow LII’s diversity recruiting and employer branding efforts. Mary’s super power is connecting people and organizations – especially in the diversity arena.
After growing up in Wisconsin, Mary attended the University of Minnesota and received her BS in Business. Then, after working for several years, attended the University of Illinois to receive her MBA, with an emphasis in HR. She held several leadership positions during her time at both schools and in community organizations after graduation.
