Microaggressions:
How Little Things Add Up to Big Problems
In this session attendees with discover how seemingly small things add up to big problems. What are microaggressions? How to microinequities work? Are they really something HR managers should address? These are just a few of the questions that will be discussed. Understanding the cumulative effect of microaggressions and how unconscious bias sometimes drives your employees to micro aggress will allow you as an HR leader to utilize practical steps and act, minimizing the damage that is so often done.
About the speaker:
Rodney Klein
U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
Rodney Klein graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and was hired by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as an Investigator in 1992. Mr. Klein investigated individual complaints of employment discrimination, along with large class and systemic cases. He worked as a liaison between the EEOC and various fair employment practice agencies. And, he was the San Antonio Office’s Charge Receipt Supervisor, responsible for receiving and processing all incoming discrimination complaints. Currently, Mr. Klein is the Dallas District’s Outreach and Training Manager. He speaks to audiences about employment related matters, the civil rights statutes, and EEOC procedures, and he is a featured speaker at his office’s yearly training seminar for employers.
This program is pending 1.00 general credit towards PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through HRCI and 1.00 Professional Development Credit towards SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification through SHRM.

All online reservations are due by NOON on the Monday before the meeting. Online registration will be closed at that time.
Guests not registered online will be considered Guest Walk-In registrations and will be charged a rate of $45. Member Walk-In registrations will be charged the regular guest rate of $35.
Cancellations & Payments:
We regret that we must charge members and guests the cost of the event when cancellations are not received at least 48 hours prior to the event day.
